江苏省血液中心成立于1985年7月，为江苏省卫生健康委员会直属公益性事业单位，是集采供血、输血科研、输血技术服务、输血新技术应用与推广于一体的专业机构。多年来，中心紧紧围绕“保障临床供血、保障用血安全、促进采供血事业健康持续发展”这一目标，以献血者为中心，着力提升采供血服务水平，加强业务能力建设、单位文化建设、人才队伍建设、党风廉政建设和职业道德建设，凝心聚力、开拓奋进，先后荣获“全国文明单位”“全国青年文明号”“江苏省五一劳动奖状”“江苏省模范职工之家”等荣誉称号。

中心组织机构健全、工作职责明确，设有15个科室。现有在岗职工230名，其中专业技术人员191名（含博士3名、硕士34名），高级职称28名、中级职称77名。

中心主要负责驻宁部、省属及部队医疗机构的临床供血，为临床提供红细胞、冰冻血浆、血小板、冷沉淀凝血因子、辐照血等血液制剂，同时为临床提供疑难配血、血型参比、抗体筛查、基因分型等输血技术服务。

中心认真履行省级血液中心职能，牵头开展全省采供血机构联合内审、开放性课题招标、室间质评、岗位技能竞赛、专业技术培训等工作。协助省卫健委，承办全省无偿献血工作联席会、全省血站站长会、质量管理及血液应急保障等工作会议，开展全省采供血新进人员培训、全省采供血机构技术审查及执业验收以及单采血浆站、储血点执业核查等工作；在省卫健委的指导下，协助省总工会、省文明办、省委省级机关工委、省国资委等相关部门出台一系列推动无偿献血工作的文件，配合国家卫健委、省人大常委会教科文卫委开展江苏无偿献血工作调研，参与《江苏省献血条例》修订及落地实施，有力助推全省无偿献血事业高质量可持续发展。

中心与法国血液中心、南京大学、东南大学、南京医科大学等建立长期友好科研合作关系，深耕输血安全、传染病防控、血液预警、采供血信息共享等重点研究领域，先后获批国家自然科学基金及江苏省科技厅、省卫生健康委等各级科研课题，荣获江苏省科学技术奖、江苏医学科技奖、省医学新技术引进奖、省预防医学会科技奖、南京市科学技术奖等多项科技奖项。

中心与新疆伊犁州、克州、青海省和西藏自治区血液中心建立对口支援协作关系，在人才培养、业务指导、设备援助、经费支持等方面务实发力、成效显著，广受各方好评。

Introduction

Jiangsu Provincial Blood Center （JSBC）was founded in July 1985. As a public welfare institution directly under the Jiangsu Commission of Health, it is a professional entity integrating blood collection and supply, transfusion medicine research, transfusion technical services, as well as the application and promotion of new transfusion technologies.

Over the years, centering on the goals of ensuring clinical blood supply, guaranteeing blood safety, and promoting the sound and sustainable development of the blood donation and supply cause, the Center has always put blood donors first. It strives to improve the quality of blood collection and supply services, and strengthens the development of professional capacity, institutional culture, talent team, Party conduct and integrity, and professional ethics. With concerted efforts and pioneering endeavors, the Center has been awarded honorary titles including the National Civilized Unit, the National Youth Civilization Unit, the Jiangsu Province May 1st Labor Certificate of Merit, and the Jiangsu Province Model Worker Home.

JSBC has a well-established organizational structure with clearly defined responsibilities, comprising 15 departments. It currently employs 230 staff members, including 191 professional technicians (with 3 Ph.D. holders and 34 master’s degree holders), 28 senior professionals, and 77 mid-level professionals.

JSBC is primarily responsible for providing clinical blood supply to provincial hospitals and local military medical institutions. It provides a variety of blood products including red blood cells, frozen plasma, platelets, cryoprecipitated antihemophilic factor and irradiated blood components. Besides, it offers transfusion technical services such as complex blood matching, blood type referencing, antibody screening and genotyping.

Performing its functions as a provincial-level blood center, the Center takes the lead in organizing joint internal audits, open project bidding, external quality assessment, professional skills competitions and technical training for blood collection and supply institutions across the province. It assists the Jiangsu Commission of Health in hosting provincial joint meetings on voluntary blood donation, annual meetings of blood station directors, and working conferences on quality management and emergency blood support. It also undertakes training for new staff of provincial blood agencies, technical inspections and practice acceptance of blood collection and supply institutions, as well as practice verification of apheresis plasma stations and blood storage sites.

Under the guidance of the  Jiangsu Commission of Health, the Center assists the Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions, Jiangsu Civilization Office, Working Committee of Provincial Government Organs, Jiangsu State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and other relevant departments in issuing policies to promote voluntary blood donation. It cooperates with theNational Health Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress to conduct research on voluntary blood donation in Jiangsu, and participates in the revision and implementation of the “Jiangsu Provincial Blood Donation Regulations”, effectively boosting the high-quality and sustainable development of voluntary blood donation across the province.

JSBC has established long-term friendly scientific research cooperation with the FranceCoag, Nanjing University, Southeast University, Nanjing Medical University and other institutions. It focuses on key research fields such as transfusion safety, infectious disease prevention and control, blood early warning, and information sharing of blood collection and supply. It has been approved for research projects at all levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, projects of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Jiangsu Jiangsu Commission of Health. It has won numerous scientific and technological awards, such as the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award, Jiangsu Medical Science and Technology Award, Provincial Medical New Technology Introduction Award, Science and Technology Award of Jiangsu Preventive Medicine Association, and Nanjing Science and Technology Award.

JSBC has established couplet assistance with blood establishments in Xinjiang, Qinghai and Xizang, providing expertise in talent development, operational guidance, equipment and financial support, thereby earning a commendable reputation.
